The Melges 15 Gold Cup is the premier international championship for the Melges 15 class, bringing together top teams from around the world to compete for the inaugural Gold Cup title.
The event will have 120 teams made up of 40 international teams and 80 qualifying US teams.

INTERNATIONAL QUALIFICATION PROCESS
US Qualification process
The inaugural Melges 15 Gold Cup will feature 120 teams, including 80 qualified U.S. teams and 40 international teams. U.S. teams will earn their place on the starting line by qualifying through designated Melges 15 championship events held throughout the 2026–2027 season.
A total of 10 qualifying regattas across the United States will award berths to the Gold Cup. Qualification spots will be awarded to the highest-finishing American teams not already qualified at each event.
